FUTURE TENSES STRUCTURE
FUTURE SIMPLE WILL Structure
- Affirmative: subject + will + verb (infinitive)
Ex. I will go to New York next year
- Negative: subject + will not (won't)+ verb (infinitive)
Ex. She won't pass the exam
- Interrogative: will + subject + verb (infinitive)
Ex. Will she call you later?
BE GOING TO Structure
- Affirmative: subject + am/is/are + going to+ verb (infinitive) Ex. I'm going to go to Malaga tomorrow
- Negative: subject + am/is/are not + going to+ verb (infinitive) Ex. She isn't going to buy the shoes.
- Interrogative: am/is/are + subject + going to+ verb (infinitive) Ex. Are you going to study later?
PRESENT CONTINUOUS Structure
- Affirmative: subject + am/is/are + v-ing Ex. Tomorrow I'm flying to Canada at 6.
- Negative: subject + am/is/are not + v-ing Ex. She isn't meeting John tomorrow.
- Interrogative: am/is/are + subject + v-ing Ex. Are you visiting the doctor today?

Futuro con "will" Examples
(decisiones espontáneas, promesas, predicciones sin evidencia)

Futuro con "going to" Examples
(planes o decisiones ya tomadas, predicciones con evidencia)

AFFIRMATIVE Imperative
- Use the infinitive without "to" for the 2nd person singular (you)
- Use let's + infinitive without to for the 2nd person plural.
- Let's go to the operating room.
NEGATIVE Imperative
- Use "don't" followed by the infinitive without "to" for the 2nd person singular (you)
- Don't be afraid of the dark.
- Don't keep gloves once you have used them.
- Use let's not + infinitive without to for the 2nd person plural.
- Let's not change anything!
- Let's not work in heights without using a helmet.

MODAL VERBS Overview
Los verbos modales son auxiliares que modifican el significado del verbo principal para expresar
posibilidad, permiso, obligación, habilidad, entre otros.

| Can | Habilidad, posibilidad, permiso | She can swim very well. (Ella puede nadar muy
bien.) |
| Could | Habilidad en el pasado,
posibilidad, petición educada | Could you help me? (¿Podrías ayudarme?) |
| May | Permiso formal, posibilidad | You may leave now. (Puedes irte ahora.) |

Other ways of suggesting
- Use the verbs suggest or recommend
- 'suggest' / 'recommend' + '-ing' form
Ex. The waitress recommends trying the house wine.
Ex. I suggest asking for more time.
- It is also possible to use a full sentence after 'suggest' and 'recommend'.
- 'suggest' / 'recommend' + (that) + subject + infinitive without 'to'
