Acrosport in the School

This is a cooperative, creative, fun and non-competitive activity; in which three
fundamental elements intervene:

  • Building figures needs strength, flexibility and balance.
  • Floor acrobatics or dance steps for some transitions to other figures.
  • Music accompanies the choreographic component and improves expression.

Roles in Acrosport

The three roles are the most important component when making the pyramids.

Base Role

  1. Base:
. It is a stable, static or dynamic
    base.
    . Its main characteristics are
    strength, stability and balance.
. Your partners must trust and

position and then helps them dismount.
  • Basic positions:
    · Lying up on the back.
. In bench position with face up and down.
    · Standing.
    Important to maintain postural control:
  • .
. Keep your back straight without increasing stress on the curvatures of the spine.
. Be careful with lumbar and pelvic retroversion.
